Services We Provide
Birthday Parties:Think about it, how much fun would it be for your child to see and hold small fuzzy critters or hold wiggly lengthy snakes? How would they like to feed three-foot Koi or a giant catfish? Or, maybe they would like to hold a baby parrot or feed a huge tortoise? All of this is possible with a Birthday Party at Animal Kingdom USA. We offer a party package that is completely interactive with the animals in the store. It is a party where children can learn about, touch and experience the fun of being with animals. We take care of all the details. "All you have to do is show up." Low Cost Vet Clinic:Once a month, usually the first Sunday, Animal Kingdom USA sponsors a Low Cost Vet Clinic for cats and dogs in the store. Dr. Thayer, who has practiced veterinary medicine in Westchester County for over eleven years, and his cheerful staff show up to the delight of our clients. They offer vaccines, heartworm tests, micro-chipping, fecal exams, nail trims and ear cleanings all at a discounted price. It is offered on a first-come first-serve basis but they will make the time to see all who show up. Adoptions:Animal Kingdom USA is proud to sponsor dog and cat adoptions. Depending on the time of year and availability, they are usually held monthly. All of these are non-profit volunteer organizations and are dedicated to serving animals in need. Even if you are not interested in adopting, we encourage visits and donations during these popular events. Please check our calendar for dates and times. Dog Training Classes:Animal Kingdom works with a well-known local dog trainer and holds in-store dog training classes. There are usually only six dogs and owners in a class at one time so you can see the classes are small and personal. There are two levels; 10 weeks to 6 months or 6 months and older. Classes are tailored to meet the needs of those attending. Starting various times throughout the year, depending on sign ups, the classes are six sessions in length. AKUSAWRAnimal Kingdom USA works closely with the dedicated staff of the non-profit rescue group AKUSAWR. This group is a volunteer staff that works to rehabilitate and re-release wildlife that has been injured or orphaned. If you find wildlife in need, please call the staff at 1-866-WILD-331. This is a year-round responsibility. If you would like to learn more about this program, or are interested in volunteering, we encourage you to contact us. |
